Safari Tented Camp

Tented camps consist of spacious, walk-in canvas tents built on fixed structures. They are usually more compact than lodges but still offer similar comforts, including private en-suite bathrooms, dining areas, and sometimes even swimming pools. These camps are designed to combine the comfort of a lodge with the charm of an intimate tented safari experience, creating a cozy yet luxurious stay in the wilderness. They range from mid-range three-star options to ultra-luxurious five-star levels.

Budget Camps

Budget camping also falls under the broader tented camp category, but it offers a very different experience and is usually considered separately. Here, guests stay at public campsites in simple bivouac tents, sleeping on mattresses placed on the tent floor or in sleeping bags. Basic shared washroom facilities are available and used by all campers at the site. These camps provide the most minimal level of comfort and amenities, yet they often deliver the most authentic safari experience, allowing you to feel truly immersed in nature like nowhere else.

Safari mobile camp

These mobile camps move with the migration, following wildlife across remote, unfenced areas while ensuring guest safety. Fully serviced by staff, they offer a comfortable luxury experience with meals, heated water, and generator power. They provide an authentic, close-to-nature safari stay and shift seasonally between Ndutu, the northern and western Serengeti, and the northern Serengeti.

Safari Lodges

Safari lodges offer a different experience compared to tented camps. In general, they are larger in size and often provide more facilities such as swimming pools, shops, and sometimes multiple dining options, much like a full-service hotel. While there are exceptions, lodges tend to be more structured and permanent. They also vary widely in comfort level, ranging from mid-range 3–4 star properties to high-end 5-star luxury accommodations.
