Tour Overview

This 4-day safari is a powerful introduction to the wild and untouched beauty of Nyerere National Park, one of Africa’s largest protected wilderness areas and a true hidden gem of Southern Tanzania. The park is famous for its massive elephant herds, healthy predator populations including lions and wild dogs, and its rare combination of land and water-based safari experiences. Unlike northern parks, Nyerere offers a quieter, more exclusive safari atmosphere where you can explore vast landscapes without crowds. A highlight of this tour is the boat safari on the Rufiji River, where hippos, crocodiles, and elephants gather along the waterbanks, creating unforgettable photographic moments. This itinerary is perfect for travelers seeking a short yet immersive wilderness escape filled with authentic African safari experiences.
