Day of Adventure

Your day starts with an early morning departure from Moshi or Arusha, followed by a scenic 1.5 to 2-hour drive through rural landscapes, passing villages, farmland, and views of the surrounding hills as you head toward the lake region.

On arrival, you begin a guided descent along the crater rim trail leading down to the stunning lakeshore of Lake Chala. Along the way, you may pause to admire the dramatic scenery and, depending on conditions, visit the nearby Chala Falls, a hidden gem surrounded by lush vegetation.

Once at the lake, you are free to enjoy a peaceful and refreshing experience. You can swim in the clear blue waters, take a canoe out to explore the calm surface of the lake, or enjoy a relaxed nature walk along the shoreline while observing birds and local plant life in this untouched environment.

A picnic lunch is served in a quiet, scenic spot, allowing you to fully enjoy the natural surroundings. After spending a relaxing afternoon by the lake, you begin the hike back up the crater rim.
