Your day begins with a short 45-minute drive from Moshi to the charming village of Materuni Village, located on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.

On arrival, you set off on a guided hike through lush banana plantations and coffee farms, where your guide explains traditional Chagga farming methods and local village life. The trail continues through green hills and forest paths until you reach the stunning Materuni Waterfall, one of the tallest and most beautiful waterfalls in the area.

At the waterfall, you can relax in the natural surroundings, enjoy the refreshing mist, or take a swim in the cool, crystal-clear pool at the base of the falls.

After the hike, you return to the village for an authentic coffee experience. Here, you take part in the full traditional process of coffee making—roasting, grinding, and brewing fresh Arabica coffee while learning about its cultural importance to the Chagga people.

The experience is completed with a delicious home-cooked Chagga lunch served in the village, offering a taste of local flavors and hospitality. After a fulfilling day of nature and cultural immersion, you are driven back to your hotel in Moshi.
